Hello everyone. Having a good weekend?
Ok... I'm a nerd now. I made a blog! How sad. Now you can all know whats going on in my life.. exciting eh?
Ok time to get started on the blog entry:
Yep I'm still in Boise, Idaho and a bit bored. I only have a week left. I head home on Friday, but before I can go back I have to get someone to fix my car! The poor car is almost at its 90k service and it has a slippery clutch that needs replacing and it might need new brake rotors and pads. I don't have the means to do the work down here so it appears that I'll have to hit up the dealer. I hope they can squeeze me in.
I bought my first snowboard last week and I've been going back over and over again to find boots that fit right. I'm torn between 2 pairs of boots right now. One pair, the 2001 vans, fits more snugly but cuts off circulation slightly. I'm not sure if the moldable liner will mold to reduce the circulation cutoff, or if I'd just be stuck with cold toes that will fall off! The other pair of boots is the lower end 2002 Solomon boots... They're softer, more flexible, and do not have a heat moldable foot liner. They do not cut off my circulatoin though which is why I will probably get them even though they cost 2x as much being a new boot.
I can't wait to get back to Santa Clara. I miss my friends a lot, and I'm not saying you Boise people are bad, but I miss my old friends.
Looking back on the summer I'm very glad I came. It cost me my girlfriend of ~2 years and possibly some other friends, but the ammount that I've matured from having to move to a new area and establish myself once again was worth the pain that it has caused and may continue to cause. I'm also up a bit financially, have a better resume, and have my foot in the door at a company that I'm almost sure will be there when I graduate.
Well time for me to go to the snowboarding store and exchange my boots for something that fits a bit better
